How it works
Mileage multiplied by the selected rate gives reimbursement. The 2026 IRS business benchmark is 72.5 cents January–June and 76 cents July–December. Rates are selected by trip date. Employer reimbursement policies and deduction eligibility are separate questions.
Example
100 business miles on September 19, 2026 at $0.76 per mile gives $76.
Questions about this tool
Can I use my employer’s own mileage rate?

Are these results independently verified?
